Character Cartooning
Learn how to create a cartoon-style original character in a relaxed and low pressure drawing environment. Students will build a character from the ground up by using shape, proportion, and expressive body language to develop a unique and memorable design. Creative exploration is encouraged and students will sketch out a variety of character ideas before working up to a final inked and colored design. Returning students may design their own cartooning projects. Ages 10-17
Classes held on Tuesdays from 4-5:30 PM. $55 for the class, $10 supply fee due on first day of class. 4-week sessions run from January-May.
3-D Art
Learn how to create three-dimensional works of art using materials such as wire, clay, found objects, paper, and objects from nature. In this class, we will explore a variety of techniques like creating an armature, assemblage, and surface decoration. Ages 14+
Classes held on Tuesdays from 6-8 PM. $55 for the class, $10 supply fee due on first day of class. 4-week sessions run from January-March.
Paper Crafting
Even a material as simple as paper can be used to create incredible works of art. In this class, you will learn about various paper crafting techniques such as collage, paper decorating, decoupage, and book-binding. Ages 18+
Classes held on Tuesdays from 6-8 PM. $55 for the class, $10 supply fee due on first day of class. 4-week sessions will be held in April and May.
